Bloomberg back home after Israel visit

NEW YORK At an unrelated event in Brooklyn on Monday, the Mayor spoke out about the escalating conflict in Gaza.

He underscored Israel's right to defend itself, citing the rockets that Hamas continues to send into the country.

Bloomberg said, "The bottom line is we have a special relationship with Israel, and if terrorists win there, the terrorists will be at our doorstep next. We are all engaged collectively in trying to stop terrorism."

On Sunday, the Mayor and his delegation were forced to take cover in a bomb shelter when missiles targeted the Southern Israeli city of Sderot.
