Woman's body found on rooftop

BEDFORD PARK Investigators believe the victim is a 28-year-old mother of a four-year-old son.

Sources say her killer left her body on the roof after removing her arms and legs. Paulemont Manuella had been missing for three days. Neighborhood residents say police circulated a photograph of her as they tried to track her down.

The fear is that, a missing person's case is now murder with the discovery of the body on the roof of the apartment building.

The disturbing discovery was made on Wednesday afternoon, but late into the night investigators carried evidence away from the scene.

Law enforcement sources told us at 3:00 p.m. the woman's family went to the apartment looking for her.

When they arrived at 2640 Marion Avenue, they went to the young mother's third floor apartment with police.

Sources said that's when they spotted blood in the bathroom.

Police eventually went to the roof and found a woman's body.

Sources say the victim had been burned and the killer had severed the woman's arms and legs.

Police said Mannuella had a restraining order against her boyfriend.

Sources said when her family came looking for her, they allegedly saw him first leaving the building.

Investigators said they were questioning her boyfriend, but no one has been charged in the case.
