2 charged with breaking into parked cars

This time, the show was outside the movie theater. Suffolk County authorities were investigating a rash of thefts from parked cars in the area of an East Farmingdale movie theater when they saw two men get out of their car and approach some other vehicles in the lot late Saturday night.

Police said the men tried to use a screwdriver to pry open the windows, and then attempted to flee when officers approached.

The men were charged with possession of burglar tools and attempted petit larceny.
