Delays in Lincoln Tunnel

January 15, 2009 8:30:01 AM PST
An accident involving a bus and three cars closed one of the Lincoln Tunnel's two Manhattan-bound tubes and created a one-hour delay for inbound traffic. Steve Coleman, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, says the accident occurred about 8:55 a.m. Thursday in the center tube.

One motorist suffered minor back and neck injuries.

Emergency workers have cleared the damaged vehicles and the tube has reopened, but delays remain.

The Lincoln Tunnel has three tubes that allow vehicles to travel between Manhattan and Weehawken, New Jersey.
