NEW YORK Fire officials says the accident occurred at 49th Street and 14th Avenue at 6:53 a.m. Tuesday. Most of the injuries involved cuts and bruises. All the injured have been taken to Maimonides Medical Center for evaluation.
Sources say the B11 bus was stopped at a red light at the intersection when it was struck by the school bus just before 7 a.m.
There were no students no the school bus at the time of the collision.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
