Wedding gifts left in taxi returned

NEW YORK Cab driver Haron ur Rashid had returned the gifts to the doorman of the couple's new apartment building - even as officials on Tuesday used GPS technology to try to figure out which taxi might have the wedding gifts in its trunk.

The couple - David Fitzhenry and Christine Herrick - were married Saturday. They nearly canceled their honeymoon in Mexico after realizing they had left all the gifts in a cab early Sunday.

Rashid's good deed was discovered Tuesday evening when a relative of the groom stopped a taxi with the telltale Pepsi ad on its roof, like the one where the gifts were left behind - and found Rashid driving it.
