Robberies in daylight in New Jersey

NEW JERSEY The crimes occur in broad daylight and the suspect strikes quick and is neat. There were two houses on Dellwood Road hit on Monday. The thief looks to see if the garage or back door is open to gain access and only once broke a window to get in.

The burglaries have taken place on two streets next to each other. Neither home was ransacked, and the thief just took things out of the master bedroom.

The first incident took place on January 8, but the resident did not know she was a victim until the following day.

Police suggest residents lock all doors and windows and leave on lights. They are told to alert neighbors when leaving and call police when anyone suspicious is in the area.

Another thing residents should do is clean the snow out of driveways and walkways. Some footprints have been found near the homes where the crimes took place, but there was no other evidence.
