Delays at Lincoln Tunnel after accident

Part of the Lincoln Tunnel was closed due to an accident causing delays during the evening commute. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says the north tube of the tunnel between midtown Manhattan and Weehawken, N.J., reopened at 5:45 p.m. Thursday after emergency crews removed two trucks.

The box trucks collided around 4:30 in the tunnel's north tube, snarling rush hour traffic. Minor injuries were reported.

The tunnel's center and south tubes remained open the entire time.

Delays up to an hour were reported.
