Two dead in Queens hit and run

Police say a teenager and a 20-year-old have died after they were struck by a hit-and-run driver in Queens.The accident happened early Sunday at Elliott Avenue and 80th Street.

The 16-year-old, Robert Ogle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second pedestrian, 20-year-old Alex Paul, was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital and later died.

Police say a suspect has been arrested. He is identified as 27-year-old Kenneth Guyear, of Queens.

He is charged with assault, vehicular manslaughter, manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, grand larceny, DWI and driving without a license.

According to police, the Guyear stole a 4-door sedan earlier in the morning, before the deadly accident. The suspect is said to have left the scene immediately after the accident, but was arrested a short time later.
