Parents whose children attend a Queens middle school have been informed of two recent luring attempts. Two letters from the principal at MS 172 warn about a predator who approached students as they walked home from school.

The school is located at 81-14 257th Street in Floral Park.

The first incident reportedly happened on January 30, when a 14-year-old student was approached by a black male in his 40s who was driving a brand new white Nissan Altima on 247th Street, south of Union Turnpike. Authorities say he asked her for money and tried to lure her into his vehicle. She ran home.

The second incident involved another female student from MS 172, who was apparently followed by a black male driving a white Nissan Altima on East Williston Avenue near 262nd Street. That student ran and went to a friend's house.
