Police believe the victim Michael Sterling was trying to cross the six lane street when 39-year-old got struck by the Lincoln LS. The force of the impact was so severe it knocked Sterling into the northbound lanes where he was struck by a black sedan. Police say that driver took off.
EMS crews took Sterling to Brookdale Hospital where he later died.
Police continue their investigation.
No arrests have been made.
