Firefighters injured in warehouse fire

Three firefighters suffered injuries battling a warehouse fire in Queens. The fire broke out shortly after 8:00 Tuesday night.

Heavy smoke and flames poured from the two-story warehouse at 56-96 49th Street in the Maspeth section.

Two of the firefighters were listed in serious condition at Elmhurst Hospital. One suffered a broken leg, while the other suffered head lacerations.

The third firefighter was listed in stable condition, but the nature of his injury was not released.

A worker told Eyewitness News reporter Lucy Yang that the warehouse contained nursing home supplies.

The fire was still burning late into the night.
