NY leaders detail stimulus spending

ALBANY But school advocates argue that's well short of what was promised in a 2007 state law and Gov. David Paterson's administration insists the stimulus money for schools is still subject to budget negotiations with the Legislature.

Paterson is also releasing more details on how another $4 billion in stimulus aid will be spent on bridges in serious need of work and other job-creating construction projects.

The announcements Wednesday come as the state and the New York congressional delegation get more details on how New York will be able to spend its $24.6 billion share of the federal money.
