Two deaths possibly related to storm

EAST ORANGE An 87-year-old woman died after she apparently wandered onto the roof of her senior center.

The incident happened at the Brookside Senior Center on Springdale Avenue in East Orange. The woman's body was found Monday morning.

Police are investigating how Katherine Scott made her way to the roof without being noticed.

No criminality is believed to be involved, and authorities are looking into whether or not Scott froze to death.

Meantime, police in Nassau County confirm a 72-year-old woman was found dead in the snow next to 47 Lincoln Avenue in Massapequa.

Marian Krauss was found by a landscaper clearing snow, police said.

The cause of her death has not been determined. Investigators said she was dressed in winter clothing, but appeared to have fallen.
