A New Jersey mother is speaking out about being arrested for allegedly selling marijuana to teenagers. She says it's not true and that she has the marijuana legally.

Patricia Pardo, 40, of 1413 Lincoln Ave was arrested at her home in Pompton Lakes.

"I'm very upset... can't believe this is happening to me," Pardo told Eyewitness News reporter Jim Dolan.

She denied she ever sold drugs to teenagers, but admitted she did many different drugs herself.

The police investigation started as a routine tip about a lot of people going in and out of Pardo's home.

Investigators said the traffic was highest during lunch break at nearby Pompton Lakes High School. Car loads of kids would enter the home on a daily basis, they said.

Investigators initially thought Pardo's 17-year-old son might be selling.

Pardo was caught smoking pot in her bedroom with a group of teens, police said.

She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, along with other drug related charges.

Pardo was freed after posting 10 percent of her $10,000 bail.
