Scaffold hit by van falls, injures 6

HARLEM New York City fire officials say the van plowed into the five-story building at about 11:20 a.m. Saturday, sending the scaffold down on people walking by.

Fire officials say all six have been hospitalized, with at least one victim seriously hurt.

Police haven't filed any charges against the van's driver.

Last month the city Department of Buildings said the scaffold didn't meet safety standards and issued a violation to the site.
