EAST ISLIP
Police say 25-year-old Brooke Fadness, of Port Jefferson
Station, turned herself in to police Sunday night. She was charged
with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident.
Police say the victim, 25-year-old Heather DiFede, was hit by a
car just before 4 a.m. Sunday as she crossed Sunrise Highway in
Islip Terrace.
Fadness will be arraigned at First District Court in Central
Islip Monday morning.
Police did not say if Fadness had a lawyer.
