Faulty parts caused deadly crane collapse

The crane toppled from the 19-story tower under construction last March 15. It smashed a townhouse and damaged more than a dozen other midtown Manhattan buildings. Six construction workers and a tourist were killed.

The report's conclusions are similar to other probes into the collapse. Manhattan prosecutors have indicted the lead contractor for the rigging company on manslaughter charges.
