Cars, boats vandalized on Long Island

November 22, 2010 1:06:12 PM PST
Several cars have been vandalized in recent weeks on Long Island. More than a dozen cars have had windows broken on one street in Island Park. Even a boat was hit. The most recent incident overnight Wednesday left at least six cars with smashed windows.

Car owners who came out in the morning to find the windows say it is a nuisance that has been going on for two to three weeks. This is in addition to other criminal mischief in the area. Residents say even home windows have been broken.

"My car was vandalized before, so I'm just really upset because it keeps happening," one resident said. "It's not fun. I just wish it would stop."

Police say they are not sure who is responsible for the vandalism and are asking anyone with information to please contact authorities.
