Police in Orange, New Jersey said Tiffany Thomas accompanied her former boyfriend when he surrendered on Wednesday evening. Twenty-one-year-old J'uan Peterson of Newark had been wanted for allegedly abducting her.

Tiffany's grandmother told Eyewitness News, Peterson and a second man arrived at her door around midnight. Peterson reportedly showed a silver gun and demanded to see Thomas.

The second man known only as T-Pain entered the home armed with a machete and allegedly attacked Gerome Freeman, a relative of Thomas. Freeman suffered cuts to the face.

After the attack Thomas was reportedly taken by force out of the home on North Center Street.

Petersen surrendered to police around 5:00 p.m.

Thomas was in good health, police said.

Police arrested Petersen on multiple counts of weapons possession, burglary, aggravated assault and kidnapping.

Petersen's bail was set at $ 350, 000.
