Four wounded in Papa John's shooting

NEW YORK Police say the gunman and the three people who were inside the Papa John's on Westchester and Elder avenues were taken to a nearby hospital. All four are in stable condition.

Police say an officer saw the suspect on the street outside the pizzeria shoot into the restaurant about 12:15 a.m. Sunday. An officer then opened fire, wounding the suspect.

The shooting remains under investigation. A semi-automatic firearm was recovered.
