Police say officers shot and wounded an 18-year-old man after he opened fire and wounded three people inside a pizza joint in the Bronx. Police say the gunman and the three people who were inside the Papa John's on Westchester and Elder avenues were taken to a nearby hospital. All four are in stable condition.

Police say an officer saw the suspect on the street outside the pizzeria shoot into the restaurant about 12:15 a.m. Sunday. An officer then opened fire, wounding the suspect.

The shooting remains under investigation. A semi-automatic firearm was recovered.
