New video released in bodega murders

BROOKLYN It's evolved into candles, notes and prayers that blanket the store's facade.

Neighbors, friends and customers made this memorial to keep attention on the two lives lost and the two men still on the loose.

We first got a glimpse of the two suspects on Thursday.

Police now have new, clearer pieces of video of the pair wanted for the murder of Mohammed Mansor Abusaid and his son, Adbul.

"I wish they can catch these culprits as soon as possible. It's sad for the whole community. They did not deserve this," Olga Ogarro said.

In the new surveillance video, one suspect is seen wearing a Yankee cap, leather coat and white sneakers stepping into the Utica Deli in Crown Heights carrying a plastic bag.

Police say he is one of the two suspects who they believe burst into the Brooklyn bodega last Wednesday night, demanded money and dragged Abuzaid, his son, an employee and two customers into the basement.

The video then picks up right after the cold-blooded murder, but this time both suspects are seen walking quickly out of the store together.

The second suspect's face is covered by a hooded sweatshirt and his hands are locked into his pockets.

Customers hope the new video helps catch the suspects.

And they hope their vigil helps the community cope over the loss of a devoted father and his son.

"Sad thing. Very sad. Just trying to give them the last respect," Winston Roberts said.
