Teen killed in multi-car crash on Long Island

CENTRAL ISLIP Police say a taxi cab and two other vehicles collided at East Suffolk Avenue and Wheeler Road at around 11:10 p.m. last night.

At least three teens were believed to be in one of the cars.

The 17-year-old driver was reportedly killed.

Eyewitness News is told two passengers a 17-year girl and 15-year-old boy, were also critically injured.

The girl was rushed to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, while the boy was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital.

Officials say the driver of the taxi and the other car were also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
