SI brush fire sends smoke billowing

A six-alarm brush fire on Staten Island on Sunday engulfed an abandoned house, sending up giant clouds of smoke visible for miles.There were no reports of injuries from the fire, at Oakwood Beach near Mill Road and Kissam Avenue.

According to the FDNY, at least three homes have suffered damage because of the fire.

The fire began around 1:30 p.m. and took about three and a half hours to get under control.

At least 200 firefighters were on the scene.
