Investigators have arrested a Staten Island man on charges of posing as a doctor. Eduard Belfer of Staten Island is also accused of offering cosmetic shots out of an office in Dongan Hills.

The state Education Department, which licenses medical professionals, received a complaint about Belfer.

Officials set up a sting operation on March 6 in which Belfer allegedly looked at the undercover investigator's skin and allegedly suggested that he inject her with Ristalin.

Ristalin is a cosmetic injection similar to Botox.

Belfer was arraigned on Wednesday, then released on his own recognizance.

He is due back in court on June 8.

The District Attorney's office thinks there may be other victims, and officials are encouraging people to call their office.
