Authorities say the driver of the car, a white Infinity SUV, refused to stop and headed in the direction of Westchester.
At the same time, three cars collided in the eastbound lanes.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash was an unmarked police car. None of the injuries in the crash were serious. The police officer was not hurt.
Police were attempting to pull the vehicle as part of an investigation of shots fired. A vehicle matching the description of the white Infinity was found abandoned in a neighborhood near the scene.
