Police were called to an apartment for a report of a past burglary there shortly after 5:00 p.m.
Inside, investigators found the bodies of a man and a woman. She was found in the bathtub, police said. The man was found in a bedroom.
Investigators said the apartment was ransacked. Although there were no obvious signs of trauma, police believe the pair was murdered.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of deaths.
No weapons were recovered, police said.
The victims were identified as William Romano, 71, and Elviza Aronova, 36. Both of them lived in the apartment.
