The New York Giants expanded their depth at receiver on Sunday, selecting Wisconsin tight end Travis Beckum with their second pick in the third round. The choice of Beckum with the 100th pick overall came roughly 30 minutes the Giants made a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles to move up six spots and take 6-foot-6 receiver Ramses Barden of Cal Poly.

A converted linebacker, Beckum caught 136 passes in his sophomore and juniors seasons for 11 touchdowns. He was limited to 23 catches as a senior because of a broken leg that ended his college career.

Barden started 43 of 46 games in four seasons at Cal Poly, catching 206 passes for 4,203 yards and 50 touchdowns. He had a career average of 20.4 yards.
