Car fire causes delays at Battery Tunnel

NEW YORK The fire broke out inside the tunnel, on the Brooklyn side, just before 9 a.m.

Firefighters raced to the scene from the Manhattan side to extinguish the flames.

The tunnel reportedly filled with smoke and drivers had to exit the tunnel by foot.

No injuries were reported.
