It honors the 18 workers killed in New York City over the past year. The deaths are down from 26 union and nonunion laborers killed in the previous 12-month period.
Families of victims will be there. The workers killed over the past year include two who died in a May 30 crane collapse.
The ceremony is on Workers' Memorial Day, which is held annually to commemorate the 1970 Occupational Safety and Health Act.
