Westchester detective indicted

WESTCHESTER COUNTY Thirty-six-year-old Jose Quinoy, a detective with the Sleepy Hollow Police Department, is being charged with two counts of violating civil rights on two separate occasions, one in October, the other in December, 2008.

The indictment states the detective assaulted and caused bodily injury to two people who were handcuffed and restrained by a police officer.

If found guilty, Quinoy faces a maximum of 10 years in prison on each count and a fine of $250,000. He has been released on $100,000 bond.
