Deadly fire in Brooklyn

Fire claimed the life of a 91-year-old woman in Brooklyn on Friday. Officials said flames were spotted around 6:00 p.m. at 1174 East 95th Street in the Canarsie section.

Firefighters got the fire under control by 6:25, but too late to save the victim.

She lived in the home with her daughter and grandchildren, according to her family members.

Investigators said they were looking for the cause of the fire.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
