COMMACK, N.Y. Police said a 2006 Ford Mustang traveling southbound on the Sagtikos State Parkway from the Northern State Parkway was attempting to pass a slower vehicle. The Mustang pulled into the right lane and the driver lost control, spun out onto the center median and crossed into the northbound lanes.
The Ford Mustang crashed into a Cadillac Deville.
Both drivers were killed. No one else was in either vehicle.
The driver of the Mustang was identified as Michael J Weiss, 23, from 9 Parsons Lane in Nissequogue, NY. He was pronounced at the scene.
The driver of the Cadillac was Nancy Munson, 73, from 4 Red Deer Lane in Huntington, NY. She died en route to the hospital, police said.
