Mother accused of Craigslist retribution

A mother is accused of giving out a phone number of a 9-year-old girl after she allegedly solicited people on Craigslist. Police say she started an add on Craigslist under the casual encounters section asking are you looking for a good time, and then funneled them to a 9-year-old girls home phone.

Using the internet as a form of bullying cops say Margie Tannanbaum got potential escort clients to e-mail her back and that's when she allegedly gave out the little girls phone number as if it was her own.

Tannenbaum didn't answer the door Friday, and later in the afternoon her husband walked up the driveway but wouldn't go on camera.

Police say it appears his wife did this as payback for a fight between their daughter and a peer.

The kids go to school at Mount Pleasant Elementary, where today security kept media at bay but an assistant to the Superintendent says while it's not really a school issue, it is a unique one saying the district has policies regarding children and online bullying, but didn't think parents needed to be reminded.

Regardless, she says its was a normal day at school.

Tannenbaum , according to state records, is a licensed psychotherapist and social worker. She faces up to a year in jail of convicted.
