TRENTON During Saturday's debate in Trenton, former U.S. attorney Christopher Christie again questioned the tax cutting plan promoted by former suburban mayor Steve Lonegan, claiming it would raise taxes on 75 percent of residents.

Lonegan countered that his flat income tax plan would bring prosperity to the state.

The two also sparred over whether they would allow the Obama administration to house terrorist detainees in New Jersey after the Guantanamo Bay prison is closed.

Lonegan said he would allow that if governor, an idea Christie called "disturbing and dangerous."

The debate was broadcast Sunday at 11 a.m. on New York's WABC-TV and at 1 p.m. on WPVI-TV in Philadelphia.
