Police in Suffolk County say a couple was arrested after they took their 5-year-old son along on a drug buy. Authorities say 31-year-old Michael Fraracci and 29-year-old Jennifer Semonella, of Mastic Beach, were arrested around 8:30 p.m. Sunday night at Morris Avenue and the Long Island Expressway.

They are facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child and loitering, while a man who approached their car was charged with drug possession. Police say 33-year-old Charles McDermott, of Shirley, had heroin and cocaine.

Police reportedly approached the couple's car after observing what looked like drug activity.

The officers then saw drugs in the car before noticing the child, who was turned over to Child Protective Services. He was then placed with other family members.
