Bombshell witness testifies in Littlejohn trial

NEW YORK A bombshell witness took the stand, claiming she was kidnapped and raped by Littlejohn.

Prosecutors used some highly unusual legal tactics by trying to convince the jury that Littlejohn was responsible for several similar alleged attacks.

Behind closed courtroom doors, a young woman who was kept out of sight until she took the witness stand claimed she was abducted and raped in October of 2005.

Prosecutors believe the incident had striking similarities to the brutal abduction and rape of Imette St. Guillen four months later.

Littlejohn, who was a bouncer at a SoHo bar where St. Guillen had been drinking, is now on trial for her murder.

Prosecutors are being allowed to call this witness despite the strong objections of defense attorneys, who say similarities don't prove anything.

The woman testified that while on her way home, "he grabbed me from behind. I tried to run away. I struggled. I screamed."

She said, "A knit hat was placed over my head. That was wrapped with duct tape."

St. Guillen's head and face were also wrapped in tape before her body was dumped near a Brooklyn landfill.

Asked by the prosecutor if she was sexually assaulted, the witness calmly answered, "Yes."

"That doesn't mean that he did it," defense attorney Joyce David said.

The victim reportedly picked out a picture of Littlejohn, but could not identify him in a police lineup.
