More schools close, others reopen

NEW YORK

One school in Queens, one in Manhattan, two in Brooklyn and one in the Bronx will be closed starting Wednesday after documenting an unusually high amount of influenza-like illness over a number of days.

All five schools will reopen on Monday, June 1.

The five schools are:

Q811 (42 students) at 822, a small building in St. Albans for students with disabilities. Only closing Q811 at 822, not at other locations. A total of six students were documented with influenza-like illness during the last school day and today.

P.S. 128 (Audubon School, 786 students) in Washington Heights. A total of 10 students were documented with influenza-like illness today and a total of 30 since last week.

231K (123 students), a school for students with disabilities at P.S./I.S. 180, a general education school in Bensonhurst. Only closing the special education part of the building, not the entire P.S./I.S. 180 building. A total of five students were documented with influenza-like illness during the last school day and today.

P.S. 68 (791 students) in Wakefield. A total of 12 students were documented with influenza-like illness today and a total of 40 since last week.

369K (150 students), a school for students with disabilities at 369 Coy L. Cox School in Boerum Hill. Only closing the special education part of the building, not the entire building. A total of seven students were documented with influenza-like illness during the last school day and today.
