Cops investigate possible murder-suicide

Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide in New Jersey Thursday.Shortly before 7 a.m., East Orange Police responded to 149 South Grove Street on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, police discovered a woman lying near her white Infiniti G35X, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police have identified the victim as 29-year-old Marcel Grant, 29, of East Orange.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Minutes later, detectives discovered the body of the victim's ex-boyfriend at his 774 Grove Street apartment in Irvington, suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He has been identified as 51-year-old Winston Fraser.

The investigation is continuing.

Friends say Grant moved from her apartment in Irvington to the house on South Grove Street to get away from Fraser.

Sources say Grant is the mother of a 9-year-old who lives in another country.
