The billionaire mayor had the law changed so that he could run for a third term this year. His chief argument at the time was that New Yorkers needed him to stick around and protect the city from fiscal ruin.
Bloomberg snapped at the reporter that the issue had long been settled and said it was not a serious question.
As he turned to leave the podium, he looked at the reporter and said "you're a disgrace." (CLICK TO SEE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE)
The reporter, Azi Paybarah, told Eyewitness News that a mayor's spokesman later offered an apology and that it was accepted.
