Firefighters who rescued 16 people from a deadly Manhattan crane collapse are receiving a medal named in honor of 9/11 heroes. Six members of Ladder 4 in midtown have been chosen to receive the World Trade Center Memorial Medal.

They pulled survivors from the rubble after the March 15, 2008, crane disaster on East 51st Street. The accident killed six construction workers and a tourist.

The City Hall ceremony on Wednesday also honors other firefighters, medical workers and emergency officials.
