President Obama heads home

PARIS (AP) The tour included a much-anticipated speech to the Muslim world, a trip to site of the Buchenwald Nazi concentration camp and a speech marking the 65th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy.

Early this morning, the president did a some last-minute sightseeing in Paris with his family. Daughter Sasha is celebrating her eighth birthday in Paris, and the family visited the Pompidou center. The modern art museum, constructed with color-coded ducts, has become a famous landmark since opening in 1977. The Obama went to the top to take in one of the best views of the city.

The president has no public events scheduled after his return to the White House this afternoon.

Tomorrow he turns his focus back to the economy, meeting with Vice President Joe Biden on the implementation of his $787 billion stimulus plan.
