2 Conn. teens killed in crash with police car

ORANGE, Conn. State police say the crash happened Saturday at about 1:30 a.m. as Milford police officer Jason Anderson was responding to a request for assistance at a disturbance in West Haven.

State police say a car headed the opposite way on Route 1 made a sudden left turn into the path of the cruiser and Anderson was unable to avoid the crash.

Police said 19-year-old David Servin of Orange was pronounced dead at the scene. Nineteen-year-old Ashlie Krakowski of Orange was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Anderson was treated for an injury that was not life-threatening.

State police are investigating the accident at the request of the Orange police chief.
