NJ man shot in apparent robbery attempt

A worker was shot during an apparent robbery as he opened the doors of a Jersey City oil change business. The victim was reportedly shot at the 30-Minute Oil Change on Broadway just before 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

Eyewitness News is told he was shot in the arm and chest and rushed to Jersey City Medical Center in critical condition.

Authorities said he is expected to survive.

The suspect, armed with a shotgun, fled the scene.

The victim was shot during an apparent robbery attempt as he opened the business.

It was not known if anything was taken.
