New charges for wife in handcuffing incident

FAIRFIELD, Conn.
  • AUDIO: Woman handcuffs husband to self

In March, Fairfield police had arrested /*Helen Sun*/ after rescuing a screaming /*Robert Drawbaugh*? at his home. Police say Drawbaugh managed to use his cell phone to call authorities, who found him handcuffed to his wife with bite marks on his torso and arms.

Sun has pleaded not guilty to the latest charge, second-degree assault. She had previously pleaded not guilty to charges filed after the alleged handcuffing incident.

Drawbaugh filed for divorce in April.

Police say in the March incident Sun claimed she used the handcuffs since it was the only way she could have a full conversation with her husband.
