Student stabbed on school grounds

LAKEWOOD He was rushed to Jersey Shore Medical Center. His injuries are considered non-life threatening. Officials say he was conscious and alert while being transported.

The stabbing took place on the grounds of the Lakewood Intermediate School. Police have a 14-year-old boy in custody. There is no word if the suspects are students.

Authorities did not say what triggered the incident, which occurred outside the school after classes were dismissed on Monday.
