The suspect declined to pull his black Hyundai over for police on Routes 1 & 9, according to police.
Police followed him into the residential streets of Newark, where the suspect vehicle collided with as many as three police vehicles.
One Newark police sergeant was taken with neck and back injuries to University Hospital from the crash.
