Alzheimer's patient missing in NJ

Authorities continued their search Saturday for an Alzheimer's patient who went missing at the Jersey Shore this week. Julia Madsen was last seen Thursday, when she went for a walk on the beach in the South Seaside Park section of Berkeley Township in Ocean County, where she is a summer resident. She was reported missing that night when she failed to return home.

The 72-year-old Madsen, who also lives in Clifton, is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, white pants and white sneakers, and had a silver bracelet on her left wrist and a silver watch on her right wrist.

Anyone with information on Madsen is asked to call Berkeley police at 732-341-6600.
