Triple shooting behind NJ school

PATERSON The victims were reportedly struck while standing in the rear parking lot of Elementary School No. 6 at around 11 p.m. last night.

Police say 23-year-old Jean Noel was shot multiple times in the torso. 24-year-old Kasmi Mahoney was shot in the leg and 20-year-old Trevor Jeffries was shot in the back.

When police arrived, they found Noel and Mahoney in the playground and Jeffries at his nearby home.

Eyewitness News is told all three were rushed to St. Joseph's Medical Center, where they were being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting was sparked by an earlier altercation involving Noel's brother.

No arrests were immediately made and the shooting was under investigation.

Police taped off the school's rear parking lot as they searched for clues.
