Deadly police chase in New Jersey

The incident happened just east of the Delaware Water Gap around 3:30 Tuesday morning.

Eyewitness News is told state police tried to pull over a vehicle along Route 94 -- just north or Route 80.

The vehicle reportedly fled the scene -- a high speed chase ensued.

The vehicle they were chasing crashed off the road on Route 94 with three people inside.

One of the people was declared dead at the scene.

The other two were taken to area hospitals -- they are both expected to survive.

A full state police investigation is underway.
